What is SEO and SEM?
We don't want to cloak our services in mystery acronyms and tech jargon. On this page, we explain what search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) is, so that you can understand how Reload Digital's services can help your business maximise its online presence.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
A massive proportion of online consumers use search engines (Google, Yahoo! and Bing) - so you need to make sure your business is being found by them. In a nutshell, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of boosting a site's position in the search engine results. SEO involves making modifications and improvements to a site that encourage Google and the other search engines to see it as more relevant and credible - which means they will rank it higher in their organic (ie non paid-for) results. (See the shaded area in the screenshot below.)
Reload's SEO packages are strategically focussed on improving your company's search engine rankings. This in turn will help drive more traffic to your website, putting you in the perfect position to boost your sales.
Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) also targets users on Google, Yahoo! and Bing, but this time, it's through the paid-for listings, which appear above and to the right of normal (or 'organic') listings. (See the shaded area in the screenshot below.)
SEM is also known as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, because your business will pay a certain amount (determined by you) each time a searcher clicks on your ad. SEM campaigns are generally run through the following platforms: Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and adCenter (Bing).
With Reload Digital's SEM packages, you can create and manage successful ad campaigns that will effectively generate leads and/or sales. However, you should be aware that there are two costs involved for the SEM process: the click spend for your ads (which goes direct to Google/Yahoo!/Bing) and Reload's management fee.
