Within this role at Reload, you’ll be managing the SEO strategy across a variety of clients and industries, as well as implementing the right mix of technical site optimisation for the client’s objectives, creating, promoting and making exceptional content accessible to search engines, and optimising the user experience on the site. From day one in this role, you will be given the autonomy to take ownership of your clients’ accounts and use your knowledge of digital to drive your own strategies.

This role requires you to be at the forefront of digital industry changes, and have a wealth of knowledge across digital marketing and SEO principles. You’ll have the ability to apply your digital knowledge and think on your feet. You’ll be able to stay exceptionally organised and have a drive to always achieve positive results using the right SEO tactics for you clients.

A day in the SEO Consultant role might look like...

  • Developing & implementing quality SEO strategies.
  • Brainstorming and developing content ideas.
  • Developing content marketing strategies and leading innovation on content planning.
  • Ensuring high rankings at all times for your client websites through natural organic search for all search engines.
  • Providing input on new SEO product and service strategies.
  • Undertaking technical SEO implementation, and auditing your client’s site.
  • Managing SEO migrations in conjunction with our web development partners.
  • Consulting with clients to understand their business and translate that into a SEO strategy that will achieve their objectives.
  • Undertaking competitor and industry analysis to develop strategies that will achieve your clients’ desired results.
  • Updating your clients and internal teams proactively on conversions, traffic and other key web/client metrics.
  • Produce search and digital marketing reports providing key metrics to the client using Analytics tools.
  • Analyse and provide insight into search performance to provide recommendations to your clients
  • Developing outreach strategies with authorities and publishers within key industries via face to face networking, social and email outreach and other creative initiatives.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to external clients and internal team mates. This means meeting deadlines, being proactive and keeping flexible in your delivery.
  • Integrating your SEO and content strategies with social media, PPC and other digital marketing activities at Reload Digital.
  • Living and breathing SEO & Content Marketing.
  • Additional responsibilities as the organisation continues to scale.

You'd make a great SEO Consultant if...

You have a keen interest in working with people, and take pride in exceeding expectations and making clients say “Wow.” You understand that there’s always an opportunity for improvement and strive to continually grow and enhance the work that you do.

For you, there is no such thing a problem that can’t be solved. Every client request is a chance to prove yourself, impress the client and build a strong relationship.

Ability to build rapport with clients and work well within a team environment.

You have 1-2 years experience in digital marketing, or are a university graduate in the marketing area and have a theoretical understanding of marketing and consumer behaviour principles.

A demonstrated understanding of how modern digital marketers get results for their clients. This is because you’re are well versed in digital marketing and SEO, including sometimes put your data hat on to deep-dive into analytics. Experience undertaking SEO activities, planning or producing content for SEO purposes is a plus, but not required.

Ability to think creatively and logically to develop content and marketing solutions that meet the clients’ needs, then the organisational skills and attention to detail to manage SEO and content projects with many moving parts.

Strong analytical skills, a mathematical mind and excel skills to produce excellent client reports will also be looked upon favourably.

Most importantly, you’ll share our ‘attitude creates ability’ mindset, be able push yourself and deliver the best solution for the client, and ultimately be able to develop long-term business relationships that result in new clients for the business.
